Angelica Devis is a deeply experienced acupuncturist, Qigong teacher, and dedicated lifelong student of traditional healing and internal martial arts. Her journey began in Western medicine, where she trained and worked as a medical doctor and anesthesiologist in Colombia, developing a strong foundation in clinical care and patient-centered healing. Driven by a desire to explore more holistic approaches to wellness, Angelica transitioned to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She studied acupuncture at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2004, and earned advanced training in Medical Qigong (DMQ-ICMQ), Doctor in Medical Qigong—International College of Medical Qigong, integrating energy medicine into her therapeutic approach.
Her commitment to Daoist principles led her to travel repeatedly to Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan, one of China’s most sacred Daoist mountains, where she was formally initiated as a Daoist priest in the Long Men branch of the Qinggong Zhen Daoism under the guidance of a traditional master: Tu Di (apprentice) in 2011 by Bernard Shannon, USA. Dao Shi (Daoist priest) in 2017 by Abbot Zhang Ming Xin. This spiritual and cultural immersion continues to inform her approach to healing and teaching.
Since 2024, Angelica has made multiple study trips to Xuan Ju to train in Wudang internal martial arts under Master Zhou Xuan Yun, deepening her expertise in practices that unify body, breath, and spirit. Over the past 14 years, she has shared her knowledge by teaching Qigong in both Colombia and the United States, combining her scientific background with traditional healing experience. Angelica is known for her grounded, heart-centered approach and her ability to create a healing space where movement, stillness, and inner awareness come together. Her work not only bridges cultures and disciplines but also fosters a strong sense of community, connection, and empowerment among her students.
